hOW TO MEASURE rOLLER blINDS

Determine if your window pushes out/slides up or pulls inwards

If your window opens outwards (you push it out away from you) or you slide it up and down, you’ll most likely want a recessed fitting. This means the blind will be inside the recess of your window.

If your window pulls towards you, you’ll want to get an outside fitting, also known as an exact fitting. This means the blind goes outside the window recess.
Look for any potential obstacles

Always keep an eye out for any protruding objects that could get in the way of your blind. A good example of this is the handle of your window. If you do have something that could get in the way, factor that into your measurements.

If there are any obstacles at the base of the window, make sure you include these in your measurements as well.
Take measurements of your window (recessed or outside)

To measure for a recessed blind, first measure the width of the recess at the top, middle, and bottom, and note the smallest measurement. Then measure the height at the left, middle, and right, and again note the smallest measurement.
These two measurements are what you’ll need when ordering your made-to-measure blinds. From here, we’ll do the rest.

For fitting a blind outside your window, measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the recess, adding 6 cm to each measurement. Use the smallest one. Then measure the height on the left, middle, and right, add 6 cm to each, and use the smallest measurement.
These two measurements are what you’ll need when ordering your made-to-measure blinds. From here, we’ll do the rest.
Measure inside the recess to make sure the blind mechanism can fit

If you have determined that your window requires a recessed fitting, you’ll need to make sure the roller blind mechanism fits within the recessed window.
First, you need to measure the height in the corner of the recess. Our roller blinds are………………………..

Next, you’ll need to measure the depth of the window recess. This will ensure the blind mechanism will be able to fit within the window recess.
